If you seek business
voluntary arrangement advice then we can help you, whatever your concerns
about your business.
In England and Wales
there were 4,607 compulsory liquidations and CVLs recorded in total
in the fourth quarter of 2008 (on a seasonally adjusted basis). This
was an increase of 11.9 per cent on the quarter immediately before that
and also an increase of more than 50 per cent on the same period a year
ago. This comprised 1,562 compulsory liquidations (which are up 4.5%
on the previous quarter and 34.4% on the corresponding quarter of the
previous year) and 3,045 CVLs (a rise of more than 62 per cent on the
corresponding quarter of the year before).
In the twelve months
ending Q4 2008, it is estimated that one in every 150 companies (nearly
1%) were put into liquidation compared to the previous quarter when
one out of every 165 (0.6 per cent) of active companies saw the liquidator's
gavel.
